About OACC

Incorporated in 1973, the Oklahoma Agricultural Cooperative Council (OACC) is a member-supported organization advocating for agricultural cooperatives and their producer members. Our mission is to enhance the understanding of cooperatives and advance their development. OACC serves as the voice for agricultural cooperatives in the legislative and regulatory affairs process and provides educational resources to help strengthen our member cooperatives. Our members include local, statewide and regional agricultural cooperatives that help their members remain competitive in a global marketplace.

ADVOCACY

OACC actively protects our members’ business interests by educating elected officials and state and federal agencies about the importance of agriculture cooperatives to Oklahoma. A broad range of public policy directly impacts cooperatives and their producer members. OACC monitors legislation and regulations that impact cooperatives and proactively works to promote policies providing a favorable business environment for our members. Through our advocacy efforts, we work to raise awareness of agricultural cooperatives among key decision makers throughout Oklahoma and in Washington.

DEVELOPMENT, EDUCATION, AND CONSULTING

OACC wants your cooperative to reach its long-term purpose and objectives.  Often times, it is helpful to bring in an outsider to look at a situation or team objectively to identify issues and strategize for the future. Educating cooperative board members, leadership teams and employees is of the utmost importance for OACC. OACC offers everything from leadership training and board development to operational and professional development courses, allowing cooperatives the opportunity to invest in their longevity through training. OACC also offers consulting for planning sessions, management meetings, communications and more.

RECRUITMENT

OACC values the opportunity to connect our cooperatives with top-tier job candidates. Through our job bank, OACC allows cooperatives to post job listings and search for job applicants, while giving candidates a place to see all available opportunities. The job bank allows the OACC to play an active role in strengthening our cooperatives by placing applicants in jobs which fit their expertise when they become available.
