  1. Accountant - Land Run Farmers Cooperative 

    Land Run Farmers Cooperative, located in northwest Oklahoma, is searching for an accountant for their main location. 

    The successful candidate is responsible for daily office functions, accounting and customer service excellence. The candidate must be able to balance all location deposits and cash box daily, monitor all bank account balances, prep financial statements prior to board meetings, process accounts receivable and accounts payable, and all other accounting duties. They must be able to provide excellent customer service by responding to customer needs, complaints and concerns. 

    This position directly supervises the employees in the office at the Waukomis location of Land Run Farmers Cooperative. The successful candidate must be organized, communicate effectively and able to make daily decisions.

  2. Custom Applicator - Land Run Farmers Cooperative 

    Land Run Farmers Cooperative located in northwest Oklahoma is looking to hire a custom applicator.   

    The successful candidate will be responsible for applying fertilizer, agricultural chemicals, and maintaining machine maintenance. The successful candidate must be able to operate heavy machinery and have a custom application license or the ability to obtain one. Previous experience is preferred but not required. The company is willing to train the right applicant.

  3. Location Manager - Farmers Grain Co. 

    Farmers Grain Company is accepting applications for a Location Manager. Candidates for this position must be hard-working, organized and forward thinking. This position is responsible for managing the operation of a grain elevator and all other assets and services offered at the assigned location, including the supervision of employees. The Cooperative offers a competitive salary and employee benefit package, including health insurance, Coop Retirement, and a 401(k) with employer match.  

     Qualifications

    A successful candidate will be adept at building relationships, have a solid understanding of Cooperative accounting with good analytical skills, and have excellent management and computer skills. Candidate should also have the proven ability to multi-task and solve problems, exceptional attention to detail, grain Industry experience, and a valid driver’s license. A Bachelors' degree in agri-business or a related field is preferred and one to three years of management experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education.

    Farmers Grain Company is a full-service agricultural cooperative with fourteen branch locations in north- central Oklahoma and south-central Kansas. The company’s business units focus on agronomy, fuel, and grain and include a fertilizer plant, seed treatment facility, bulk fuel sales, a feed and farm supply store, in-house financial credit services, commodity brokerage and crop insurance, and the Chisholm Trail Terminal.

  4. General Manager - Farmers Exchange

    Farmers Exchange, a successful grain and fertilizer cooperative located in Helena, OK, is seeking interested candidates for their general manager position. 

    The company, located in an excellent wheat area, operates concrete elevators in three locations within a 10-mile radius of the headquarters with a 1.5 million bushel capacity. They operate two full-time locations and one seasonal location. They are a member of Comark Equity Alliance, a grain marketing LLC, who markets wheat, corn, milo, soy beans, and canola. They also belong to a fuel and fertilizer buying LLC and a fertilizer storage LLC. They sold 6,000 tons of fertilizer last year. They operate liquid and dry fertilizer facilities at the Helena location and anhydrous ammonia from the Goldtry branch of Farmers Exchange.

  5. Custom Applicator - Sooner Cooperative, Inc. 

    Sooner Cooperative, Inc., a full-service farmers’ cooperative located in Okeene, OK, is looking to hire a custom applicator for their Fairview location.

     The successful candidate will be responsible for applying fertilizer and agricultural chemicals to support farmers in increasing their crop yields. They must be able to operate heavy machinery and have a custom application license or obtain one. The candidate must have a current driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Previous experience is preferred, but not required. This position requires the ability to assist in the other departments at Sooner Cooperative, Inc., including but not limited to, loading feed and working in the grain elevators.

  6. General Manager – Eldorado Farmers Cooperative

    Eldorado Farmers Cooperative, Eldorado, OK, a diverse grain and cotton cooperative in southwest Oklahoma, is searching for a general manager. The company consists of two Lumos cotton gins that gin approximately 75,000 bales per year combined. Most of the cotton is irrigated from both surface and wells. The company also owns a high-speed rail loader on the BNSF lines.  The loader can load a unit train in ten hours.

     The company operates two locations in Oklahoma each with a gin and grain storage facilities, and two locations in Texas, one seasonal grain facility and one liquid fertilizer facility. The total grain storage in the three locations is 3.2 million bu, all in upright metal bins and two additional ground piles. The company has a dry fertilizer facility at Eldorado, OK

    The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with great communication skills who will bring new and exciting business opportunities to the board for consideration. He/she will develop the staff to maximize productivity while insuring individual job satisfaction and employee growth. This person will take minimal direction from the board, develop plans and implement the plans to move the company to the next level. They must be decisive, forward thinking and willing to conquer every challenge.

    The CEO will be responsible for leadership and overseeing the operation of this dynamic company including budgeting, goal setting and achievement, employee hiring and training, business development and customer satisfaction.

    Qualifications include:  Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in Business, Agricultural Economics, Finance, or other related fields. Incumbent must be able to make decisions and have excellent communication skills.  Must be customer focused, self-motivated, hard-working, have good time management and organizational skills.

  7. OACC Internship

    The OACC internship program introduces college students to the cooperative business model while providing valuable, hands-on experience. During May-July, interns have the opportunity to experience all facets of daily operations and management of an agricultural cooperative including processing, storing and marketing commodities, consulting on agronomy services such as crop nutrients and crop protection products, operating a feed mill, assisting with inventory, accounting and invoicing operations and, most importantly, providing excellent customer service.

    The OACC internship program offers students more than just a summer job. By gaining real-world experience in agribusiness, many of our interns start down the path to a full-time career. Whether with a local or regional agricultural cooperative or in the Farm Credit system, many interns find a home within the cooperative family.
